Job Summary
Xavier University of Louisiana is seeking to hire an Accounts Payable Clerk. The Accounts Payable Clerk will perform accounting and clerical task related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. AA/EOE
Minimum Qualifications
High School. College level courses in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum requirements include at least three (3) years experience in performing Accounts Payable, or full charge bookkeeping duties.
Knowledge of Accounts Payable
Knowledge of relevant computer allocations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Description
Receive and review invoices for approved purchase order processing .
Review and process approved direct pay request forms .
Reconcile vendor statements, including communicating with vendors and researching payments.
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
Resolve invoice discrepancies.
Log and/or stamp time and date of all correspondence received (invoices, vendor statements, etc.). Vendor file maintenance
Provide service to customers by answering questions, providing information, and making referrals, and assuring appropriate follow-through and or/resolution
Assist in audit request for vendor invoices.
