Under supervision, perform housekeeping work required for the cleaning of hotel rooms following proper procedures and techniques for equipment and cleaning products.
The Ball State University Hotel is seeking candidates for its' vacant Hotel Housekeeping position. The successful candidate should possess a strong work ethic, commitment to the organization, and attention to detail.

Job Function:
Under supervision, perform housekeeping work required for the cleaning of hotel rooms following proper procedures and techniques for equipment and cleaning products.
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
Minimum Experience:
1. No allergies to soaps, cleaning agents, chemicals or environmental factors in housekeeping service.
2. Must be able to read and comprehend all specified policies and procedures for safety, hazardous materials information, University policies, procedures and communications, and perform basic mathematical functions.
3. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License, if required by assignment.
4. Must be able to perform all mental and physical requirements as outlined in each job duty.
5. You must be 18 years or older.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Change bed linens, make beds with clean linens as required, and laundry of linens and towels.
- Maintain carpet floor coverings, i.e., vacuum and remove spots and stains.
- Dust, vacuum, clean and/or polish furniture and surfaces.
- Collect and dispose of trash into designated receptacles.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of job related chemicals, and environmental, health and physical concerns.
- Clean and service all areas in restrooms to include, but not limited to, lavatory, toilet, showers, bath tub areas, etc.; dust mop and wet mop bathroom floors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
